TweetChat – An Easy Way to Join Hashtag Conversations

TweetChat – An Easy Way to Join Hashtag Conversations

In my last blog post, I talked about using hashtags to engage people on Twitter.  Today, I’m going to take that one step further by introducing you to TweetChat – An Easy Way to Join Hashtag Conversations.  TweetChat is a hashtag tracking service, and it has lots of cool features that will help you engage your audience and reach new people on Twitter.

TweetChat makes it simple to join real time hashtag conversations.  All that you need to do is search for hashtags, and then you can see the conversations that are taking place on Twitter.

  • Reply
  • Retweet
  • Visit the person’s profile

You’ll be able to do all of this right from TweetChat.  That means you won’t have to close out of TweetChat and move back to Twitter every time you want to do something.

Interacting On TweetChat

Along with searching for hashtags, you can use TweetChat to gather information and interact with Tweeters.  During this process, you’ll need to:

  • Find out what people are saying about the topic
  • Offer expert advice
  • Find followers based on their interests

You can use TweetChat to find out what people are saying about your niche.  This will help you make informed decisions related to your products and business.

For example, if you provide people with Internet marketing tips, you can use TweetChat to see what marketing questions people have.  You can use that information to create new products and teaching tools.  This will help you excel in your niche, since you will be able to meet a real demand.

Offer Expert Advice

TweetChat will also give you the opportunity to offer expert advice.  For instance, assume you’re a part of the computer repair niche.  You can go on TweetChat and look for hashtags related to computer repair.  Then you can answer people’s questions and give them some free advice.  When you offer free advice, you’ll gain more followers.  Then, by the time you want to sell a product, you’ll have lots of people who will be interested in what you have to offer.  This is a great way to make future sales.

Find People to Follow

You can also use TweetChat to find people to follow.  For example, if you’re marketing Xbox360 games, you could go to TweetChat and search for the “Xbox360Games” hashtag.  You can analyze the different tweets and find followers based on their interests.

When you follow these people, you’ll be able to monitor their tweets.  You can also respond to their tweets by providing them with links to great deals.  Be sure you build a relationship with the person before you provide him with links, though.  That way, people won’t think the links are spam.

Getting Started with TweetChat

You can sign up for TweetChat at  Once there, click the hyperlink that says “Signup with Twitter.”

Next, go back to TweetChat and click “Sign In.”  Then, you’ll be prompted to authorize the application.  You’ll need to authorize the app so TweetChat will be able to communicate with Twitter.

You’ll be redirected to TweetChat.  At that point, you can use the search box at the top of the page to search for hashtags.  Just type in the hashtag and press enter.

After you do that, you’ll be redirected to a new page, which will display a list of conversations that include that hashtag.  Browse through the conversations.  If you want to join in, just use the text box at the top of the page to type your tweet.  You don’t have to include the hashtag, since the service will add it in for you.

You can also use the “Reply” and “Retweet” tools that are located next to the tweets.  These tools will allow you to interact directly with specific users.

Now that you know the basics of using TweetChat, it’s time to get started.  Create your account and join in the different hashtag conversations.  Then, you’ll be able to interact with users and stand out among the crowd.

    Thanks Carol,

I can only stay a few minutes today, but I am going to follow the steps to join Tweetchat. I was a Mary Consultant as well. I just stopped earlier this year, and may go back as a personal use consultant. I have a life insurance license now, but want to work with Amazon and online. I will soon have it going, as I am determined to do so.

Take care until we speak again
