Lady Bloggers Roundup

June 1, 2013

Lady Bloggers Roundup – An Elite Group of Lady Bloggers Who Are the Wind Beneath My Wings

When I first began to work hard on realizing the dream of my own successful Internet marketing business I knew my goal wasn’t only to make money but to create a business I could be proud of in every way.

I wanted to bring integrity to the mix, to help others realize their own dreams of success and to make lifelong friends and associates. I never dreamed that the journey would be so rewarding and fulfilling.  :)

Roundup of Lady Bloggers with Integrity

This journey has led me to meet and interact with some of the most amazing women I’ve ever known. In their own ways – mostly through their blogs – they’ve each contributed to my success. I’d like to introduce them to you.

Lady Bloggers Roundup

Some, you may already know and follow. If you don’t, I urge you to take time to get to know them better and get on their lists. If you’re familiar with these ladies and their blogs and businesses, you’ll understand why I want to sing their praises.

Tiffany Lambert (formerly Dow)

(http://www.tiffanylambert.com/blog/) – This no-nonsense, lady blogger and Internet marketer tells-it-like it really is and is an inspiration to us all. She doesn’t mince words, so if you’re offended by brutal honesty, you may be taken aback at first.

But, she’s taken on the black hatters in our industry by the droves and continues to be a beacon of inspiration to those of us who love and adhere to principles of honesty, integrity and standing up for our values.

Tiffany LambertTiffany is a mother of three and understands the need for being at home with our children while building a business that can provide the best education, medical care and other needs of our families.

Hard work is fun for Tiffany because she really loves what she does – and it shows in her business results. Tiffany’s client list converts more than almost any other IM-er – 20% to 30%. Most Internet Marketers brag about a 3% conversion rate. So, why is Tiffany so far above the others? Trust. People trust her – that’s the bottom line.

Would you like to be one of the lucky ones who get her to review your product? Be ready for an honest evaluation. If the product is a loser, she’ll tell you and state her reasons why she thinks so. But, if it’s a winner, her endorsement can light up the monetary skies for you.

Tiffany’s published books include, PLR ATM, Ghostwriting Cash, Squidoo Quick Commission Guide and The Guide to Cashing in On My Shiny New Object Syndrome. These are especially targeted to Internet marketers and are extremely well written and easy-to-understand. Tiffany’s videos are especially entertaining and thoughtful.

Among her recent blog posts and videos that I’ve enjoyed reading and viewing is “The 90-Day Product Challenge,” still in progress. Tiffany is challenging us to brainstorm and come up with an idea and finished product that will rock our IM businesses and then see it through to fruition – a.k.a., money in your pocket. You can still get in on the fun.

Tiffany has motivated me through obstacles and has been an inspiration and business model that I can look up to, and that I believe will help me take my business to the top. I consider her a good friend – in business and in life.

Kim Roach

Many years of online experience and making a great living from the Internet makes Kim a go-to person for information about expanding my business via blogging, social media and driving traffic.

Kim RoachKim’s step-by-step guides have been invaluable to me while reaching my Internet goals. She knows the work it takes and the true dedication to your business and followers, and she tries hard to meet our needs while building her own highly successful business.

A professed, social media addict, Kim loves learning, applying strategies, testing and then, “delivering them to you on a silver platter.” She’s so great about answering questions you might have – whether beginner or seasoned veteran and if she doesn’t know the answer, she’ll find it.

A recent blog posted by Kim was intriguingly titled, “13 Tools to Spy on Your Competitors.” How many of us have wanted to peek in to the strategies and tips of our fellow marketers and get some secret information to incorporate into our own sites?

I certainly have – and this post provides the insight to how to use a few tools to ferret out where you might increase your advertising budget, some top joint venture people to partner with, top keyword rankings and much more.

A couple of the “spy” tools she mentions are Moat.com and SocialAdNinja. Moat.com is a search engines that automatically bring up banners that others may be using on their own websites. It will give you inspiration on how to make your own site competitive.

SocialAdNinja.com lets you know which Facebook advertisements (among hundreds of thousands) are performing best, including images and landing pages and the amount of time the advertisement has been listed. If you like the idea of social media to market your products/sites, this site will give you the lowdown.

Kim is a self-described blogger, bookworm, runner and social media addict whom you can truly connect and chat with like a lifelong friend. She’ll help you as she’s helped me to build your business and have fun in a community of like-minded people. Kim is truly an amazing person and so super talented at what she does.  I count it a real privilege to call her my friend.

Ms. Ileane – Ileane Smith

(http://basicblogtips.com/) – Blogger extraordinaire, Ms. Ileane is great to chat with even if you’re not an Internet marketer. But she’s also a savvy marketer who knows how to use blogs to build strong connections and perpetuate community involvement.

Ileane SmithMs. Ileane’s blog, basicblogtips.com, is not only informative, but a delight to be a part of. If you’ve been with me very long, you know how I believe in blogging to reach business goals and to keep in close touch with the Internet marketing community. Ms. Ileane offers her many skills and strategies to help us focus on the content that will help us all to reach those goals.

A common trait among each of these much admired lady bloggers is that they’re hard workers, persistent and stand up for values and integrity in business and in personal life journeys. Ms. Ileane believes that with attitude and consistency, we can achieve anything we want in life.

I’ve written many posts about content syndication, and Ms. Ileane’s post, How to Get Thousands of Subscribers Using Content Syndication is one of the best explanations and “how-to” guides I’ve seen. She explains how the content can be any type of communication process including news feeds, podcasts, videos, white papers and blog posts – all crafted to pull in subscribers.

Another blog post I revisit a lot is Ms. Ileane’s Blogging Tips 101. Her posts seem to be reflecting what I’m thinking at the moment. A very recent post, “If You Wait for Perfection, You Might Miss the Boat,” seemed aimed directly at me.

I tend to want everything perfect before I make decisions about anything in my life, from business to personal. Sometimes that’s called procrastination. It’s good to wait for clarity in some aspects of life, but sometimes you simply have to act on your intuition and go for it.

I’m blessed to have Ms. Ileane in my life to provide some clarity and a go-to place where I can get some incredible advice from a great lady and fellow IM-er.

Nicole Dean

(http://www.nicoleonthenet.com/  and  http://nicoledean.com/) – This busy lady wears many hats and I admire them all. One of her goals is to help ultra-busy marketers who are Info-product sellers to earn money and build a business they can enjoy and be proud of.

Nicole DeanNicole’s blog is one that I’ve enjoyed for its fun, yet professional style. Like many of us moms, she works from home because she wants to be more of a constant in her children’s lives and build a solid marriage with her husband.

Her business provides the freedom to branch out and reach out to others and show them how building a business that generates 6-figures isn’t a dream – you can do it if you have the right teachers.

And, how nice is it to be able to take a trip with the family while your business continues to thrive in your absence? Nicole doesn’t even own a Blackberry! She works when she wants to work – and she can teach you how too.

Nicole lists her expertise as Affiliate Management, Affiliate Marketing, Lazy Marketing for Passive Profits, Outsourcing Effectively and Marketing with Content. She also offers her Guest Blogging Guide, which is great. What I especially like about her methodology is that she uses lots of shortcuts. Now that’s a woman after my own heart.  :)

Recent blog posts of Nicole’s that I’ve enjoyed are, Rebranding Yourself and Your Business and Ready to Stretch Your Business?. I’m all about branding yourself, and Nicole zeroes right in on how to stand out in the crowd. I’m always ready to stretch my business to the max, so Nicole’s help is always appreciated.

Nicole is savvy and sweet. She’s multifaceted – involved in many causes and business pursuits other than Internet Marketing. Helping orphans through an organization called New Horizons is dear to Nicole’s heart and she’s also active in animal rescue and suicide prevention.

Nicole is an amazing woman, and I’m so fortunate to have her in my life and her wise counsel for my business pursuits.

Kristi Hines

(http://kikolani.com) – Kristi’s blog posts are funny and will definitely brighten up your day. But make no mistake, she’s serious when it comes to freelance writing and teaching others about online marketing, including social media and search engine optimization.

Kristi HinesI’ve learned so much from Kristi’s insight into building an online business. She can take a difficult subject and make it seem easy, even to a non-techie… Her blogs are filled with good advice whether you’re a personal or professional blogger.

On her blog site, you’ll find posts about blogging promotion, SEO and how to make the most of social media no matter what your intention. Kristi’s thinking goes right along with my own when it comes to using every piece of Internet technology possible to brand yourself and take your business to new heights.

Kristi often has interesting guests visit her blog. One that I especially enjoyed was Olga Ionel titled, Effective Online Marketing with Forums and Message Boards. Ionel is a writer at ThemeFuse.com and is also a leader in the WordPress market. This blog post will show you how to use these platforms without taking a chance on ruining the reputation of your business.

Another post is a revealing one about how spammers can cost you money if they happen to be on your mailing list. This is another function of a black hat marketer, and Kristi tells you how to keep it from happening.

Like most successful lady bloggers, Kristi is multi-faceted. She loves photography, tennis and hiking and is active on social media sites such as LinkedIn, Google+ and Twitter.

Kristi Hines is a piece of the puzzle that fits nicely in my business pursuits and brings her own brand of advice and expertise into my life.

Ana Hoffman

(http://www.trafficgenerationcafe.com/) – When I want some advice for generating traffic to my sites, I automatically think of Ana. Ana’s book, Mommie, Where Does Traffic Come From, is not simply a great title, but is also filled with traffic-generating tips that can be used by beginners to seasoned IM-ers.

Ana HoffmanOne visit to Ana’s blog will show you what you’re in for when you become a member of the community. Social Media Traffic 101, Web Traffic Conversion 101 and Increase Website Traffic: The Ultimate Blueprint to More Profitable Web Traffic. You’ll find so much good information that you’ll want to immediately put to work in your own sites.

We all know that generating traffic isn’t accomplished with a magic wand, but Ana makes it seem that you’ve found one when you put her latest tips, trends and technology information into action.

Ana doesn’t merely tell you what to do. She puts everything she talks about to the test, and then shares her findings with us. It takes effort and some time, but generating traffic is the hub of success for Internet marketers and unless we know how to accomplish it effectively, we’ll die on the vine.

I love the insight and freshness of Ana’s posts and often revisit them to see what I may have missed the first time around. She’s a beautiful lady with a family whom she loves and works hard for.

Ana was born in Communist Russia, so she greatly appreciates the freedom we have to develop a business and realize a passion for success. Like me, she’s a believer that it doesn’t cost a fortune to be successful in an online business. But, it does take strategy, time and effort.

Ana Hoffman is another professional and highly accomplished lady blogger whom I admire and look up to when I go about accomplishing my own goals of online and personal success.

Connie Green

(http://conniegreen.com/) – It’s hard to say enough good things about Connie Ragen Green. She’s a versatile and successful business owner and has been in the Internet marketing business since 2005. As with most of us homebody ladies, she loves working from home with all of the opportunities that the Internet offers.

Connie GreenConnie has built quite a following – including me – and now speaks, is an author and mentor to others who are attempting the Internet journey. Her best-selling books include Huge Profits with a Tiny List, Huge Profits with Affiliate Marketing, The Inner Game of Internet Marketing and The Weekend Marketer™.

She’s also created some great information products and teaches others how to write, set up blogs and generally build their businesses.

I love Connie’s personal integrity and ‘white hat’ practices that she brings to her followers and also love that she’s not only fully connected to the Internet community, but to the physical community in which she lives.

Connie has been through some tough times, as we all have. She struggled at first to build her Internet marketing business, spent too much money and didn’t make any for awhile. She vowed that no one she could teach would have to struggle as she had.

Now, with her teaching and products, she admits to earning a nice, high 5-figure monthly income. Her motto is, “If I can do it, YOU can do it!” Connie boasts a number of students who have profited from her teachings and tips – including me.

A post called, Email Marketing Tips – Getting People to Open Your Emails was particularly helpful to me. When you take the time to send out emails, whether from an automated program or individually, you want to think that it’s interesting enough for people to want to open and read it.

In the post, Connie talks about focusing on the subscriber and using “irresistible” subject lines. Sometimes, I know what I should do, but it doesn’t come easily. With Connie’s expert and kind advice, I can get back in the mental groove of sending emails that work.

Have you ever heard of “Giraffe Marketing?” Well, I hadn’t either, until Connie introduced it to me. You’ve got to read Connie’s post titled, “Santa Barbara Zoo Giraffes: A Lesson in ‘Giraffe Marketing” – it’s a story of how the Santa Barbara Zoo has ‘marketed’ their newborn baby giraffes and how you can learn from the valuable lessons they learned about how to get the word out to the community.

  • Scott Worthington

You introduced me to Tiffany Dow with your 25 best women bloggers. Thank you. I have been a Tiff fan ever since.
I recently discovered Ana Hoffman and her wonderful Traffic Generation Cafe. Good stuff.
I came to Nicole Dean and Connie Ragen Green through NAMS. Though Connie is very knowledgeable, I find her a bit dry. Nicole’s underwear on the clothesline is an image that just bugs the heck out of me and has kept me from following her. I know, it’s a weird hangup, but that image REALLY bugs me. And her lates book had 2 pairs of undies on the line. SHUDDER.
Another dealbreaker for me was Kim’s “gun to the head” Not interested. It’s not life or death, if it was I would be somewhere else.
I am definitely going to check out Kristi Hines.
Hope she doesn’t use guns or underwear to make her point.
I will always appreciate the introduction to Tiffany Dow. She may not be for everyone, but I like her. I have learned a lot from her and I trust her.
Thanks, Carol. I appreciate you, too.

    • http://carolamato.com Carol Amato

      Hi Scott!

      You’re a hoot! LOL

I surely do appreciate you coming to give your opinion!!! I used to be like that, letting little preferences turn me off, but have decided not to throw the baby out with the bathwater. Eat the fish and throw away the bones. :)

The pistol thing turned me off too, and initially, I clicked off and wouldn’t watch the video. I am so glad I went back later to watch it because I gained a mentor and a friend that to me is invaluable.

Kim uses absolutely NO hype (other than that FIRST scripted video she did for Traffic Dashboard) and gives more valuable, no-nonsense content on her webinars than anyone else I know. I’ve been in on a lot of her trainings, and she is a wonderful person, very giving and always over-delivers.

I did notice the clothesline on Nicole’s site, it caught my eye, but doesn’t prevent me from absorbing all of her great content and gleaning from her wisdom.

We all have things that bug us, Scott, and I’m the first to admit if someone is cursing a lot, I usually tune out… simply because I don’t want to be exposed to gutter talk – dislike it really.

Tiffany curses once in a while, but I know she has integrity and her character is very good. She grew up playing golf around a lot of men, that’s where she picked it up.

So your pet peeve is undies or hype, mine is cursing (will never put up with a lot of hype or false scarcity or lying with regards to urgency, etc.), but I don’t want my personal preferences to overshadow the real importance of following the leaders with integrity in our industry.

I really can relate to what you’re saying, just differ in my response to it…

      Have a good evening. :)

      – Carol

  • Donald Thomas

I follow you, Tiffany and Kim and have learned a great deal from all three of you. Especially you. But that’s only because I spend more time with you. Gender has nothing to do with it. It’s knowledge. I will give the others a look-see

    • http://carolamato.com Carol Amato

      Hi Donald!

That’s fantastic. Tiffany and Kim are very knowledgeable, and each has their own areas of expertise. You will like the rest, I’m sure.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, it’s all about the knowledge and if we jive with that person. :)

So thankful you have learned from me, and I have from you also! Yep, that’s right!

Hope you have a great rest of the evening.

      – Carol
