How to Add Email Addresses to Your Safe Sender List
If you’re sick and tired of wondering “Where’s my email?” – then, you’ve come to the right place because I’ll show you how to add email addresses to your safe sender list, also known as a whitelist.
Unsolicited marketing messages are known as spam. These messages cause a headache for email subscribers, which is why email service providers have put spam filters in place. These spam filters look for certain characteristics.
If an email has any of these characteristics, it can be flagged as spam. Once it’s flagged, it’s sent to a spam or bulk mail folder, where it sits until it’s deleted by the system.
In most cases, spam filters do a great job. They keep inboxes clear of clutter so users can see the messages they want to see. However, spam filters can make mistakes and mark solicited (wanted) emails as spam. This is most common with email lists and website subscriptions.
There are two ways you can prevent solicited emails from ending up in the spam folder. First, you can add the sender to your address book. In order to do this, you’ll need the sender’s email address. The email address is usually provided when you sign up for an email list or website. However, if the email address isn’t provided, you’ll need to wait until you receive your first email.
You may have to go in your spam folder to retrieve it. Once you get the email, you can open it up and get the address. Then, you can add the email address to your address book.

In most cases, that will be enough. However, you can take additional precautions to ensure email addresses end up on your “Safe Sender” list. I’m going to outline the procedures you’ll need to follow for some of the most popular email providers.
Gmail
If you are using the popular free email program GMAIL, you’ll need to follow a few steps to ensure your emails make it to the white list. You will need to:
- Open the email you want to put in your safe sender list.
- Go to the title line of the email and move your cursor toward the date.
- Click “More Options.”
- Select “Add Sender to Contacts List.”

If you have already received an email and it ended up in the spam folder, open up your spam folder, select the email and click “Not Spam.”

Yahoo!
If you want to keep emails in your inbox instead of your bulk folder with Yahoo!, you need to:
- Open your mailbox and click “Options.” This is located at the top of the page.
- Select “Mail Options.”
- Click on “Filters.” You’ll find this on the left hand side of the page.
- Click the “Add” button.
- Put the sender’s email address in the “Sender” section.
- Click “Add Filter.” (step 4) This will save your filter.

Hotmail
If you use Hotmail, you will need to:
- Log into your email and click “Options”
- Choose “More Options.”
- Under “Preventing Junk Email” select “Safe and Blocked Senders.”
- Choose “Safe List.”
- Enter the sender’s email address in the “From” line.
- Click “Add.”

Go Daddy Webmail
If you are using Go Daddy webmail with your hosting plan, you will need to:
- Open up your email and place a checkmark to the left of the email you want to add to the safe sender list.
- Right click the email.
- Select “’Allow Sender” from the “More Actions” drop down menu.
- Click “Apply

Microsoft Outlook
If you use Microsoft Outlook, you will need to:
- Open up your Junk E-Mail folder.
- Select the email.
- Click “Not Junk.”

If you’re still unsure of how to add email addresses to the safe sender list, you can contact your email provider. The customer representative will be able to add email addresses to your list in a matter of minutes.
In most cases, the representative will just need the sender’s email address. However, some email providers will also need the sender’s IP address. In that case, you can forward the email provider one of the sender’s emails. If the provider is unable to get the IP address from the email, you will have to contact the sender.
As you can see, it is relatively simple to learn how to add email addresses to your safe sender list. Follow these steps so you can receive all of your important emails.

I really appreciate. this is indeed great valuable information. But the point is I have invested in something and I am all confused. No point discusing about it. But I would rather prefer if you have something like freelance or similiar. I would be more interested in the real data entry jobs than get involved in matter which looks very simple but I do not know head or tail of it. and when I make the payment nothing comes out of it. Its the gurus that a misguiding. To figure out the good and bad gurus my dear its very difficult, so what I do right now is – I start deleting their emails immediately without reading its contents. I do not have time for all these foolish articles. I have lost my patience. Carol I would appreciate if you could help me on this data entry, or word processing or data processing aspect. In fact I am a Programmer and am well versed in database management systems.
Thanks a lot for your good literature.

Hi Carol,
I saw your video on Anthony Morrison’s website and was very interested. Have you worked just from his book, did you join any of his website trainings? Have you gone thru the PMI course that they offered?
I am looking to do the same thing as you and wonder if it’s worth putting in all the time?
Thanks,
Gayle
Hi Gayle,
I have all of Anthony’s books, as they are very good, and I learned a lot.
I don’t have any of his products/programs/coaching, however, as I launched out on my own because I did not have the budget for that at the time.
I did get with a personal coach as soon as I could, and he shared his business model with me, which is solid and has worked very well for me. My entire business has the foundation of list building, which you can learn about by watching my free video. Just sign up in the opt-in form in the upper right hand corner, and I’ll send you my free video training where I explain the necessary components to making money online.
Yes, it is worth is as I have built up to earning thousands per month, and I really enjoy what I do.

Hi Fredy,
I’m so glad the info is helpful to you.

Carol
Hi Carol,
I just listened to your YouTube video and I am hopeful. I just started a couple of days ago with Anthony’s program. I am a single mom with one daughter and I am employed full-time. I am just amazed at what you have built here in just three months. Your website is very impressive and informational. If you could give a newbie some advice or tips, what would you recommend. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Dawn
Hi Dawn!
It is definitely a layering process! It takes time and hard work. My site didn’t always look like this… My recommendation is to listen to Golden Nuggets – Internet Marketing Basics video and take notes. List out the components you need to make money online – I cover this in the video. You can pause while you take notes. Then, take the challenge at the end, really think about your market/niche. Next ask me specific questions….just send me an email, and I’ll give you more info when you do. Hope to help.
Actually, now I’ve been doing Internet marketing for about a year!
Have a great weekend.
- Carol

Hi Mr. Jackie,
