Earn Commission on Facebook with ClickBank SocialPromote

December 3, 2011

UPDATE:

ClickBank SocialPromote Discontinued

If you’re like most people, you have a Facebook account, but you have yet to figure out how to make money from it.  Sure, you send out some links and chit chat with your fans, but you haven’t made any sales.

This is a pretty common problem, and fortunately, it’s one with a relatively easy solution.  All that you need to do is start using ClickBank SocialPromote and you can start making money with your Facebook page.

What is ClickBank SocialPromote?

ClickBank SocialPromote is an easy way to post affiliate links on Facebook.  All that you need to do is sign into ClickBank and browse through the marketplace.  Once you find a product that you want to promote, just click the “Like” button next to it.

Then, the product will appear in your Facebook stream.  If people click on the product, they’ll be redirected to the merchant’s page, via your hoplink.  If they buy the product, you’ll receive a commission.

Now that you understand what ClickBank SocialPromote is, let’s go over some reasons why this is such a great tool.  While there are lots of reasons people like using ClickBank SocialPromote, some of my favorites are:

  • It’s natural
  • It’s simple
  • It’s free
  • You can reach a lot of people in a short period of time

It’s Natural

One of the biggest problems people have when it comes to marketing is finding a way to promote products in a natural way.  They constantly try to come up with natural ways to market product, but they stumble along the way.  Usually, this occurs because people try to force their products on others.

Fortunately, ClickBank SocialPromote makes the marketing process appear natural.  That’s because the product shows up as a “Like” in your Facebook stream.  You aren’t saying, “buy this product.”  Instead, you are saying, “I like this product.  Check it out.”  This doesn’t appear forced at all.  It’s natural, so your Facebook fans are likely to be receptive to products advertised via ClickBank SocialPromote.

It’s Simple

It’s no secret that Internet marketing can be complicated at times.  That’s what makes ClickBank SocialPromote so great.  It’s incredibly simple.  All that you need to do is sign up for a ClickBank account and then start “Liking” products.  The products will go directly to your Facebook page.  This is marketing at its simplest form, and yet it still works.

It’s Free

Most people don’t have thousands of dollars to invest in a marketing campaign.  Some people don’t even have hundreds of dollars to spend.  Fortunately, you don’t need any extra cash in your bank account to use ClickBank SocialPromote.  All that you need is a free ClickBank account and a free Facebook account.  Then, you can get started.

Earn Commission on Facebook with ClickBank SocialPromote picturesIf you want to start marketing without putting any money down, this is a great option for you.

You Can Reach a Lot of People

One of the best things about ClickBank SocialPromote is it can help you reach a lot of people in a short period of time.  In order to understand this, I’m going to show you an example.

Let’s say Kim has 100 friends on her Facebook account.  She uses ClickBank SocialPromote, so her 100 friends see the post in their streams.

Joe is one of Kim’s friends.  Joe also has a Facebook page, but his page is even more popular than Kim’s page is.  He has 150 Facebook friends.

Joe is looking through Facebook and he sees Kim’s link.  He checks it out and really likes it, so he clicks the “Like” button.  Now, the post shows up in Joe’s stream.  Since Joe has 150 friends on Facebook, 150 new people see the link.

This can go on and on.  Before you know it, you can reach thousands of people, all with one link.  This is a great way to get a lot of exposure in a short period of time.  It’s also a great way to make lots of sales quickly.

It’s easy to see why ClickBank SocialPromote is getting a lot of buzz lately.  It’s a simple way to promote products on Facebook.

You don’t need any extra cash, a website or any other marketing tools.  Just sign up for ClickBank and start using this tool today.  Then, you’ll be in a good position to start making some money with your Facebook page.

    or just facebook.
    thanks!

    • http://www.CarolAmato.com/ Carol Amato

      Hello Daniel,

Well, since Clickbank SocialPromote has the “Like” button by the product to promote in their marketplace, that means that it is available on Facebook…

  • Dawn

    Carol,
Thanks for the info. I went over to the CB Marketplace and found a product to “Like.”
Just to let you know that FB has something called Web of Trust or WOT. When I clicked
on the link I had created on my FB page, a WOT box comes up. You can click “ignore”
and go on to the product website, but it will probably scare some away from checking
out the product. I’ll see how it goes.

    • http://www.CarolAmato.com/ Carol Amato

      Hi Dawn,
Yeah, that is very common to find the WOT box, it’s standard and a lot of folks are getting used to it. It’s a numbers thing, some will and some won’t. Awesome that some will and considering it is a completely free method, that’s pretty awesome. :) I appreciate you stopping by with your comments – and hope you have a great rest of the weekend. – Carol

  • Max@guadagnare online

Carol I love your post. I’m not a big fan of Facebook, but I think tomorrow I will change ways of thinking and begin to work as you advice. One last thing … clickbank has an extended platform … you have some advice on how to find the “affiliate product” to work with and eventually guadagnare online (earn money online). I think it could be a hint to the next post. See you soon.

    • http://www.CarolAmato.com/ Carol Amato

      Hi Max!
Glad you enjoyed the post. I have a lot of blog posts already up about choosing a profitable niche, etc. If I find something I think it worth the effort of checking out, I do check it out personally and if I find it to be valuable, I pass the info on to my reader. Use the Search feature on the right side of my blog, to type in any term that you are wondering about. For example, type in “keyword research” and hit Enter on your keyboard. You will see all the posts on my blog about that topic….

Also, check out CBEngine.com and the article I did on Clickbank: http://www.carolamato.com/intro-to-clickbank/

Hope to help. Have a great weekend. :) – Carol

Dear Carol, you just amaze me! I love getting your emails with all your great information.
After 4 years of trying to get my internet marketing off the ground, & yes, I’m one of the many struggler’s, that have paid out hundreds of $$$$. I thought I would give it 1 more go, when I discovered Anthony’s website!
Although, at the moment I can’t afford to spend any more, on my marketing, here you pop up and give me yet more hope!!!!
Carol you certainly are a “Treasure” and a like minded person.
    Thank you so much.

I’m so glad to be considered one that gives “hope” because a few years ago I was trying to get my brain wrapped around Internet marketing, but with working 3 jobs and always being exhausted………I just couldn’t grasp it! Then, someone gave me hope, and it all changed for me! Glad you enjoyed this post! Have a blessed weekend.

  • Glenda

Thank you Carol for posting about Clickbank SocialPromote. I was unaware of this feature. Could internet marketing be any easier than “Like”ing something. Do you know if there is an option to have it post on your fan page also?

    • http://www.CarolAmato.com/ Carol Amato

      Hi Glenda,

I think it only goes to the personal page because that is what the “log in info” is attached to. At least that is my experience. If you find out differently, please let me know. :)
Have a great weekend. – Carol

    Hi Carol,
Once again, you’ve come through right when I needed it! Just this week we got back our internet, after 11 days without, that left me feeling behind beyond recovery. Yours is the first internet marketing post I clicked on. This sounds simple enough that a techno-moron like me could tackle it! Thank you a hundred-fold!

  • Stacey McNeill

    Hi Carol,
Thanks for the heads up on this. I just recently started following your blog and appreciate all the great information. I’ve been studying internet marketing for a couple years (to help support marketing efforts of several clients), but just recently decided to give affiliate marketing a try. This looks like a great way to start. I have a couple questions I’m wondering if you can answer.

For a test I “liked” one product, which did automatically show up in my Facebook Stream, but I’m wondering if there’s any way to edit the post, and add a comment within the post. That would make it seem much more natural and engaging.

    Thanks for sharing!
    Stacey

    • http://www.CarolAmato.com/ Carol Amato

      Hi Stacey,

As all other “Likes” on Facebook, I don’t think you can edit them as they stand alone. Hope to help.
      Take Care,
      Carol

  • Stacey McNeill

    Hi Carol,
Another question about the Facebook links. I clicked on the link in my email and received a Security alert that this link as been identified as potentially unsafe, etc…
Have you or any of your readers experienced this? Is this common with these clickbank hoplinks? Or is it just the product I happened to select? (http://plantbasedrecipeguide.com/?hop=samcneill). Obviously, I don’t want to be sending my FB friends to a link that pops up with this message.

Also, do you know what is the best way to contact someone at clickbank with these questions? Would appreciate your thoughts.
    Thanks,
    Stacey

    • http://www.CarolAmato.com/ Carol Amato

      Hi Stacey,

First of all, not sure why it was in an email. Unless you use a professional autoresponder account, those links should not be sent to anyone who has not signed up to your list and specifically asked to receive offers from you…. If I have misunderstood, sorry!

Yes, a warning is pretty common and is standard for some ISP (Internet Service Providers) – so you should probably go to your ISP and check their FAQ and such. Also, I did not get any warning when clicking on your link above, so it has to do with your ISP I think.

As far as contacting Clickbank, just use their “Contact Us” link at the bottom of their page, of course, after you have looked for help and an answer to your question in the Help Center.

Hope to help a little. :) Have a great rest of the day.

Wao Carol! As you can see I’m learning now the internet marketing jargon… reading what your readers write to you… and as for now, I’m Out on Limb with Shirley. But your answers help. I’m having fun with this staff– really. Because it is more productive than seeing Vanna White changeing letters. And, oh yes I’m making progress. Today I typed up my Goal’s Poster. Under this I wrote: Goals and gold go together. And I just can wait to fill up my Piggy bank! Ah! If I may asked… which one is priority to read, your book or George’s “eye opener” staff? I know will be a long journey to a be a good marketer! But. I also know how to eat an elephant.Oh man! Carol, I think you’re part a saint, wanting to help humanity. God bless!

      Hi Aida,

I’m so glad to help! Way to go on getting your Goal Poster up!! Great job for taking action!!
You are right about that, we all eat the elephant one bite at a time as it is a layering process.

    Carol,
Thank you so much for posting this. It sounds like a winner. I do have one question about it and the example you used about the one guy having more friends then you do so it is shared by lots of people quickly. My question is that if someone purchases items by clicking on your link then you get the commission, but what if they purchase something on someone who shared your link on their FB then who gets the commission? They do or you do because you were the originator? Also how many days is that link good for you to get the commission 18,30 or 45? Not sure. I am thinking in the lines of a Commission Junction and how long it is good for once they hit off of the site. Anxious to hear your response. Thanks

    • http://www.CarolAmato.com/ Carol Amato

      Hi Tammy,
Glad you like the info! :)
Each link has your unique Clickbank nickname/ID embedded in it, so whoever clicks on this link that you put out, whether it’s your friend or a friend of a friend, will result in a commission for you.

If YOUR link is clicked and the person buys, you get a commission – it makes no difference how or why it is shared, if it’s your link, it gets credited to your account.

The links don’t “EXPIRE” at all. If a person clicks on your Clickbank affiliate link and buys, you get a commission, period!

      Pretty cool, eh?

      Have a great weekend. :)

    Thanks a million, Carol.

I have been following you mostly, and Anthony Morrison as well as Eric Holmlunds, but haven’t decided to do anything yet because I was feeling overwhelmed about websites, domain name, etc. This new info is very helpful to someone like me since it is free and does not require a website. Will start right away.

    Carol,
I listened to your ideas on how to advertise through facebbook and clickbank. My understanding is that I could log onto clickbank and look for promotions under my niche and click on the like button to advertise on facebook. I did this and two things happened, one facebook put up a warning stating that this might be a website that is not safe therefore it has been blocked, and two I ignored the warning and went on and waited several minutes and the website never came up. If I were a user I would get fed up with this and never click on links again. What is your suggestion to fix this problem?
    Thanks,

    • http://www.CarolAmato.com/ Carol Amato

      Hi Tammy!
Way to go on taking action. :) A warning like that is very common, yep for sure. Your website not coming up has nothing to do with SocialPromote. Mine came up in my regular Facebook feed immediately. Were you logged into your ClickBank account and your Facebook account at the time of clicking the “Like” button in the Marketplace?

If you were, then I would delete cache and cookies in your browser, restart and try again. It works for everyone that I have talked with about it.
Hope things go better for you…
      Have a great day.
