A Typical Day in the Life of Carol Amato

I have been asked what a typical workday looks like for me so decided to make a blog post about it.

For starters, I like to wake up around 6:30 or 7:00 a.m.  I’ve always enjoyed waking up early and starting the day in the quiet before the rest of my family gets up.

After the normal routine of washing face, etc., I always make my bed!   I make sure to do this every morning without fail because it starts the day off with productivity and accomplishment.A Typical Day in the Life of Carol Amato

If you start your day by completing one productive task, the rest of your day follows the same momentum.  You begin a flow of productivity.

However, if on the other hand, you start off your day by checking email, surfing around the Internet and chasing rabbit trails on facebook, then the rest of your day is probably going to follow in that same pattern.  Before you know it, the day is over and you have little or nothing to show for it.

So I complete my very first productive task of the day as soon as I roll out of bed.

Next, I have set aside a time for prayer and Bible reading.  This sets my day with the right focus as I meditate and get ready to prioritize my day, over coffee, of course.

I number them according to priority and tackle the most difficult one FIRST.

By completing your most important task first thing in the morning, you will have accomplished more in the first few hours of your day than most people do in an entire day!

Now, with regards to the rest of my work day, I really don’t have a typical routine that I follow.  I work on the other 5 things on the list which, depending on the task, will dictate how much time is spent.

I basically list all tasks into two main categories for my online marketing business, traffic and conversion and spend 50% on each with the remaining work time left for the day.

I am the most productive in the morning because I am fresh so choose to do my content creation at that time.  If I don’t, I end up regretting waiting till later in the day because it seems like a chore much more so than when I am energetic in the morning.

Would love to hear your thoughts, so comment below.
