4 Tools to Drive Traffic to Your Blog
4 Tools to Drive Traffic to Your Blog
Once you have a blog up and running, it’s important that you drive traffic to it. Today, I’m going to give you 4 tools to drive traffic to your blog. I’m going to start by showing you how to index your blog, and then, I’ll show you how to index your posts. Both of these methods will help you get more exposure online.
Submit Express
Submit Express is a free website submission program. You can use the program to submit your site to all of the major search engines. Once your site is submitted, the search engines will crawl and index it. Then, people will be able to find your site via the search engines.
Along with the submission service, Submit Express offers a free Meta Tags Generator. This will help you get the right tags for your site. Be sure to use the generator at http://www.submitexpress.com/meta-tags-generator.html before you submit your site. Then, go to http://www.submitexpress.com/free-submission.html and submit your blog.
OnlyWire
OnlyWire auto submits content to over fifty social networks. Basically, you’ll write and upload a blog post, and then submit it to OnlyWire. Then, the service will do the rest. The process is easy if you have a self-hosted WordPress.org blog. That’s because you can use the OnlyWire for WordPress plug-in. Then, you can submit your content to OnlyWire with just a click of a button. You can get the OnlyWire for WordPress plug-in at WordPress.org under plug ins.
You would have to set up accounts with each of the social networks and enter your log in information to use this plug in, but once that work is done, each and every submission to over 50 services is done with the click of a mouse!
OnlyWire has several plans, with the cheapest at $10 a month. That plan gives users up to 1,000 submissions per month. Additionally, the service offers a free trial. If you want to sign up for the trial, go to Only Wire Trial and fill out the form. Then, give OnlyWire a test drive. You won’t be disappointed.
Pingler
Pingler can ping search engines every time you post a blog. If you write a blog post and fail to ping it, it might take months for it to get indexed. However, if you use this service, it will get indexed much faster, which means people will be able to find your post via the search engines.
With a premium account, you can store 25 Links (URLs) in your account. These links will be automatically pinged every three days. If you need to submit more URLs each month, you can sign up for one of the other packages. I use the FREE package and that is plenty for me to use, so really – just use the free service until you need more.
You can also give Pingler a try by pinging one of your URLs for free. If you want to test Pingler out, go to http://pingler.com/.
Ping-O-Matic
Ping-o-Matic is a free service that’s similar to Pingler. You can fill in information about your latest blog post, and then Ping-O-Matic will ping the search engines. Then your blog will get indexed quickly.
While Pingler and Ping-O-Matic are similar services, I recommend using both so your posts can get indexed as quickly (and in as many places) as possible. If you want to give Ping-O-Matic a try, go to http://pingomatic.com/.
Use all of these tools for your blog. Then, you’ll be able to get lots of traffic. Also, let me know if there are other services that you use for your blog posts.

Hi Carol- thanks alot for this information. I’m very new to all this so I have a quick question. Right now I’m using a website not a blog- does it matter if I’m submitting a website and not a blog? I don’t think it should matter but just wanted your insight on it. Thanks again!

Hi Andrea,
As long as you use the URL, it doesn’t matter. Use the complete website address like: http://www.CarolAmato.com/
Hope to help and thanks for stopping by.

Fascinating blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere?
A design like yours with a few simple tweeks would
really make my blog stand out. Please let me know where you got your design.
With thanks

Hi Ned,
Yes, it is a custom premium theme, called Fresh News.
Hope to help. Have a good evening.
